Inspiration
11/09/2013
Today was a Great Day, I spent it stamping with fellow Demonstrators.
They are always full of ideas. Many of us were sleep deprived; getting projects completed.
That being said it is well worth the sleep deprivation to swap ideas.
The swap I am showing today is from a previous meeting. The picture doesn't do the poinsettia justice.
Card Stock used is Cherry Cobbler
1. The poinsettia is made from ten mosaic shapes (punch 131267) and sponge with coordinating ink. Sponge one end. Mount ( I used glue gun) five of them to a 1 3/8 inch circle. Sponged edge to the outside.
2. The second five shapes need to be curled with a bone folder and mounted in-between the mosaic shapes of the first layer. The sponged edge is toward the center.
3. The center of the poinsettia is made with Simply Pressed Clay (130685) using the medium blossom (131272). I dusted the mold with iridescent ice emboss powder (101930). This helps prevent clay from sticking in mold. I then embossed with heat gun.
The Card base is made with Gumball Green. A second Gumball layer 2.5 by 5.25 embossed with Chevron folder (127749). Lower edge covered with my favorite new ribbon. 3/8" Ruffle stretch trim (130022)
The last part is an oval (129381) cut from brown sugar card stock and greeting stamped with More Merry Messages (126400 or 126402) with cherry cobbler ink.
